WISE TEXAS COUNSEL
SEASONED ADVOCACY

Experience and Relationships at the Texas Capitol

Our Firm routinely handles a multitude of issues in the political arena and the related area of
Governmental Affairs for a multitude of clients whose legal issues here in Central Texas, as well as across the United States, are best solved by the Texas Legislature.  As a result, we are a leading presence at the Texas Capitol.

We have the knowledge and strategic contacts to assist you with lobbying, legislative monitoring and analysis, rulemaking, licensing, compliance, enforcement, contracts and litigation relating to federal, state and local governmental entities.

Political Involvement

We are skilled in formulating new public policies.

We have served in prominent governmental roles as advisors to statewide officials, state agency staff, suburban interests, metro-area municipalities, management at non-governmental organizations and to financial executives of major out-of-state institutional investors requiring close monitoring of various bills considered during sessions of the Texas Legislature.

Industry Recognition

We have been ranked in "Best Lawyers in America" in the Government Relations Area for the past nine consecutive years since the founding of Our Firm in June 2010.  We have chaired the Public Utility Law Section of the State Bar of Texas.  As Past Chair of the Austin Bar Association Administrative Law Section, we have provided Legislative Updates to various groups and organizations, and would be pleased to include you in future updates and related memorandums.

Locally, we have served on numerous Chamber, RECA (Real Estate Council of Austin) and City Council-apponted advisory boards and commissions. We have formulated and submitted key energy-related and other issue-oriented positions for the editorial pages of the local news media -- hand in hand with strong advocacy for prominent private and public sector interests.

Our team succeeded in establishing the new Annexation-related law now benefitting many areas statewide and we were key to successfully establishing the new 10-1 Austin City Council district representation.

Whether your objectives can be accomplished with a phone call or letter, or over a period of time, let us learn how we can best advise on public policy stances, strategy, and/or whether it is advisable for an office holder or agency official to take a position on a public policy or to remain neutral.
